Author-A-Thon Readathon

Hi booklovers

I decided at the last moment that I wanted to participate in the Author-A-Thon Readathon hosted by Joana Sousa and Thoughts on Tomes, which takes place from the 18th of April 'till the 24th of April.

There are six different challenges you can try to complete or read books by the same author.

I'm going to give the challenges a try:

1- Read a book by one of your favorite authors: I've just started listening to the audiobook of The Great Hunt by Robert Jordan and I really enjoy his books, so he counts as one of my favourite authors.
2- Read a new-to-you author: I'm going to combine some of the challenges, so for this challenge I'm going to choose 'These Broken Stars' by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner. I'm also going to use this book for challenges number 5 and 6. (I'm not sure if you're allowed to use a book for three challenges, but I'm going with it :-) )
3- Give an author a second chance: I don't really have an author I want to give a second chance at the moment!

4- Read a debut author (2015 or 2016): I want to read 'Glass Sword' by Victoria Aveyard. I know this technically isn't her debut novel, but I already read 'Red Queen' and that was her debut of last year, so :-$
5- Read a book written by more than one author: These Broken Stars

6- Read a book from an author who is from a different continent than you are: These Broken Stars. Amie Kaufman is Australian, so, there you go :-)

I probably won't read all of them, but I'm going to try to read as much as possible.

Are you participating in this readathon? Let me know in the comments.

Bye for now

Annelies

  1. Aww, guess I'm too late to start on it now. I had never heard about it until I saw your post. I don't think I would've been able to get very far, lol. Damn this adulting nonsense. XD

I hope you'll do a review of These Broken Stars if you read it! It's been on my TBR for forever and it'd be nice to know if I need to pick it up sooner rather than later.

    Lovely blog! ^-^

    1. Thank you! :-)

The readathon lasts until Sunday, so maybe you could still accomplish one challenge ;-)
I'm not sure I will even get to These Broken Stars this week, but I want to read it soon anyway. I'm a bit (read: a lot) behind on reviewing the books I've read in the past couple of months (indeed: damn this adulting nonsense), but I will post a review once I've read it.

Thanks for checking out my blog, I'll be checking out yours too :-)
